About Pathology training

I read on a blog that pathologist are oversupplied in the US by 73%. I read that someone entering training nowadays will NEVER become an Attending. if so I do not think anyone should stay in pathology training. i do not think you went to medical school to be a resident for life. I think you should get into something like Internal medicine (IM) I only recommend pathology if a) you do Not speak =English or refuse to learn English, b)  you just want to do research and are not interested in any service work. c)  you are from a wealthy family and you are not concerned with income potential d) you have a spouse that is the major bread winner and pathology is more of a hobby for you
But for anyone else i say get out now.  do not delude yourself. and do not listen to so called lurid tales of making a bundle of money doing pathology. those days are over  with
